Event

It is a pleasure to announce that the registration site for the XI Congress of the Brazilian Purine Club (3rd International Meeting of Purinergic Signaling in Brazil) is open! The Meeting will take place at the Atlantic Hotel on September 13-16, 2022, in the coastal town Búzios in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Congress shall gather researchers, students and professional from Brazil and abroad interested in purinergic signaling from different areas such as biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, parasitology, biophysics, cellular and molecular biology, among other disciplines.

The program consists of plenary lectures, several symposia, round-table discussions and poster presentation sessions. Social/scientific interaction between the invited researchers and graduate and undergraduate students will be also promoted. In the same way as for the previous meetings, this congress shall strengthen ties between laboratories working on purinergic signaling in Brazil and abroad.

Beautiful Búzios is located on a jutting peninsula scalloped by 17 beautiful beaches. A simple fishing village until the early ’60s, when it was ‘discovered’ by Brigitte Bardot, it’s now one of Brazil’s most upscale and animated seaside resorts, littered with boutiques, fine restaurants, villas, bars and hotels. Its charm and narrow cobblestone streets and picturesque waterfront contribute to Búzios’ image as Brazil’s St Tropez.

Soon, the preliminary program and options of accommodation will be available.

We look forward to welcoming you in Búzios! Early bird registration is already open!

Club

The Brazilian Purines Club was created in 2009 with the objective of bringing together the scientific community around themes related to purinergic signaling and, through periodic meetings, to promote greater integration among researchers in an area of science that is in full swing expansion both in Brazil and in the world. The CBP has organized 10 congresses with the participation of established researchers as well as postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students from Brazil and abroad. The quality of congresses was highly lauded by the participants. In addition to the divulgation of Brazilian science, the congresses initiated and fostered scientific collaborations as well as the exchange of students and research between laboratories in Brazil and abroad.
